If driving in, clear the brief Mexican customs checkpoint just past the gate.
Note: there is no Banjercito vehicle-permit office at this crossing — if you need a TIP to travel beyond the Baja/Sonora free zone, get it in advance online or at a Banjercito office elsewhere (e.g. Mexicali).
