Step by step, southbound
From Eagle Pass, follow US-57 south to Bridge I — the older, free, single-lane bridge, open daytime hours only (check current hours before you go).
Cross the bridge over the Rio Grande into Piedras Negras, Coahuila.
Clear the aduana customs checkpoint immediately south of the bridge.
Note: Bridge I has no Banjercito office on site — if you need a vehicle TIP, you'll need to continue to Bridge II (Camino Real) or the Banjercito office in Allende, about 53 km south.
Continue into Piedras Negras via Mexican Federal Highway 57.
