Step by step, southbound
Approach the Otay Mesa Port of Entry from CA-905 / Otay Mesa Road, following signs for Mexico / Tijuana.
Stay in one of the southbound through lanes toward the crossing gate; the far left lanes are marked 'nothing to declare.'
Pass through the aduana checkpoint. If you get a red light, pull over for a brief vehicle inspection; green light, continue through.
If you need an FMM or vehicle permit, bear right into the INM/Banjercito parking area, park, and walk into the INM building.
After processing your paperwork, return to your vehicle and continue south into Tijuana via Vía Rápida or Bulevar Insurgentes.
